Other times I've had to shoot my horse because it broke its leg on a minor trip. I've had situations where this lost me a chase mission repeatedly. The horse "autoaim" is smart enough to mostly not crash into a tree, but it doesn't avoid minor potholes. But in the woods, a small tree stump can easily knock you over. Sticking to main roads is good, and the camera angle when you're going fast shows off the world incredibly. Riding a horse has a lot of problems too. I played most of the game somewhere in the middle, which means I'm half aiming, half guessing what the auto aim will lock on to.

It's either mindless lock-on or an unworkably bad free aim. Simply bumping into an NPC could trigger events fail a mission. Yet I find it so plodding and frustrating to play.
Stunning visuals with incredibly detailed surfaces. Generally very good writing, excellent performances. Easily the most expansive, believable open world simulation. I hope this will make me appreciate it more. So far I stand by my original criticisms but I am trying to be more lenient and also more patient, the first time I played absolutely relentlessly once I decided to finish the game as fast as possible. So I am now playing it on PS5, I have reached chapter 2 so still a long way to go.

Since then I have not played it again but I did pick up a copy cheap on the PS4 to see if a replay might change my opinion on it. So all this said because I didn't want to waste my money I forced myself to finish it out of spite and as soon the credits rolled I uninstalled it from my Xbox One and trade it as fast as I could. Dutch was pretty much unlikable from the start for me as it was obvious he was going to get nearly all of the cast killed right from the start, he makes bad decision after bad decision the whole time which made me just want to get away from him as soon as possible. Youve earned the right to shop tax free and enjoy FREE. On the good side the plot is maybe Rockstar's best yet, even though there are a few weird retcons. Shop Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4) and other name brand PS4 Games Electronics at The Exchange. Game punishes any deviation during missions Long travelling sequences felt like a punishment

Insanely long install from disc lasting several hours on Xbox One I bought Red Dead Redemption II day one, I played it and I didn't like it for several reasons.
